MIAMI, FL – City of Miami Mayor Manny Diaz, Commissioner Michelle-Spence Jones, District 5, City Manager Pete Hernandez, the Liberty City Community Revitalization Trust, and the City’s Department of Community Development will gather at 1533 NW 58th Terrace on Monday, November 5th, 2007 at 11:00 a.m., for the official ribbon cutting on one of several new affordable homes in the Liberty City neighborhood. 

The completion event will also mark the official kick-off of the Soul Lives in the City “Experience the Soul” campaign, an effort spearheaded by the Liberty City Community Revitalization Trust and the Carrie Meek Foundation to bring residents back to live, work, play and learn in District 5 communities. The campaign focuses on encouraging residents to live in areas throughout District 5,  where there will be a large supply of newly developed affordable rental and homeownership units available to new and existing residents.

Those in attendance will be able to tour the recently completed three-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 1533 NW 58th Terrace which is one of several being developed by Miami Dream Homes Investment Group, Inc., on parcels conveyed by the City of Miami’s Department of Community Development along the same street block.
