ACCESS Miami Offers Official Financial Literacy Seminar on Homeownership and Avoiding Foreclosures


-Event is Free and Open to the Public-

(Miami, Florida)- ACCESS Miami will host a free Financial Literacy Seminar to train local community and faith-based organizations about the home buying process, avoiding foreclosures and how to manage credit so they can educate residents. The event takes place on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Jungle Island, 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail.  A networking breakfast starts at 8:00 a.m., followed by the seminar from 9:00 a.m. – 12 noon. Free parking is available.

The topic of the seminar is “Helping Consumers in the Home Buying Process and Avoiding Foreclosure.”  Seminar discussion topics include: understanding foreclosure prevention, home preservation and finding the right resources, helping consumers manage their credit, the home buying process, useful consumer resources and more.

ACCESS Miami is part of the Mayor’s Anti Poverty Initiative launched in 2001. The initiative unites City resources with similar resources available in the public, private, and non-profit sectors, to offer tools and education that enable City residents to improve their quality of life.
