City of Miami Mayor Manny Diaz and Commission Chairman Angel Gonzalez to Hold Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Grapeland Heights Police Substation
-Area Residents will be able to file police reports without having to leave their neighborhood-

(Miami, Florida)—City of Miami Mayor Manny Diaz, Commission Chairman Angel Gonzalez, along with Chief of Police John Timoney, City Manager Pete Hernandez, members of the various police units, area neighbors and city administrators will hold a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, Thursday, October 11th, 2007 at 2:00pm, to inaugurate the Grapeland Heights Police Substation, located at 1701 NW 30th Avenue.
The Grapeland Heights Police Substation will be open 24 hours, seven days a week and will house the following specialized units: Accident Investigation, Crime Suppression, Special Events, Patrol Support, Specialized Patrol. Over 200 staff members will be assigned to Grapeland Heights.
Residents of the area will be able to file Criminal Incident Reports, Requests for Police and City Services, and Delayed Accident Reports.
