City of Miami Clerk’s Office
Announces Early Voting Dates
and Absentee Ballot Information

(Miami, Florida)-  The Office of the City Clerk in coordination with the Miami-Dade County Elections Department has selected the six (6) locations to utilize as early voting sites for the upcoming election(s) as follows:

Please be advised that all City of Miami voters who are registered within Districts 1, 2, and 4 will be able to vote at any of the early voting sites as the IVotronic machines will be programmed with the same ballot style for each City of Miami commission district.

The sites will be open for 1 week only from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. during the week of October 29-November 2 and from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Saturday and Sunday November 3 and 4.

City of Miami registered voters that cannot go to the precinct to vote during early voting or on Election Day, can request an absentee ballot by mail. The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is Wednesday, October 31, 2007.

All absentee ballot requests must be signed by the voter and received by the Elections Department by mail no later than 5:00 p.m. on the 6th calendar day prior to the election. E-MAIL or FAX requests are accepted only if the ballot is to be mailed overseas.

City of Miami residents utilizing absentee ballots are reminded to send in the corrected ballot that lists its candidates as follows:

District 1:

Absentee ballots may be picked up in person at Miami-Dade Elections Department, 2700 NW 87th Avenue, Doral, FL 33172 throughout Election Day, November 6, 2007.

A voter who received an absentee ballot may return his or her own ballot in person to the Miami-Dade Elections Department at 2700 NW 87th Avenue, Doral, FL 33172 or to the Elections Department’s Branch Office (located in the Lobby of the Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 NW 1st Street) no later than 7:00 pm on Election Day.
