(MIAMI, FL) – The City of Miami Department of Community Development has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for qualified real estate developers seeking to create a mixed-use, mixed-income homeownership development consistent with the zoning of specific sites located in East Little Havana (District 3).

The sites are located at 400-420 SW 8th Ave. and 430 SW 8 Avenue and will be offered by the City in “as is” condition. Additionally, up to $4 million in funding (HOME and Affordable Housing Trust Fund dollars) is available via this RFP. The RFP, along with any and all materials related to it, can be picked up at the Department of Community Development’s office, located at 444 SW 2nd Ave., 2nd Floor, Miami, FL, 33130, or can be downloaded from the Department of Community Development’s web site at www.miamigov.com/communitydevelopment/pages/rfq/.

All proposals are due on Friday, August 24, 2007, no later than 2 p.m., at the City of Miami’s Clerk’s Office at Miami City Hall (First Floor Counter), located at 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida 33133. No applications will be accepted after 2 p.m. on that date.
