The
City of Miami Solid Waste Department
collects trash one day per week.Collection
includes
yard/garden material, all shrubbery, vines
and tree cuttings. All items must be securely tied in bundles,
no more than three (3) ft. in length nor
weighing more than fifty (50) lbs and placed
in front of resident’s property, 24 hours
prior to scheduled collection. Yard trash
must be separated from garbage and
recyclables and placed out on regular trash
days. Do not use (blue)
recycling bins for trash.
• Allowable
trash: Grass and
leaves (bagged), household furniture,
appliances and bulky items, tree and hedge
trimmings (IMPORTANT - IF CITIZEN HIRED A
COMPANY TO REMOVE THE TREE, SAID COMPANY IS
RESPONSIBLE FOR TREE DISPOSAL. TREE CAN NOT
BE PLACED FOR REGULAR TRASH PICK-UP OR A
CITATION WILL BE ISSUED)
• Prohibited Trash items: Trash does not
include Construction materials, Roofing
materials, Construction debris, Demolition
debris any Wood, Sand, Rocks, Dirt, Carpets,
Paint, Oil and/or all Chemical and Hazardous
materials.
• If using a private tree trimming company,
they are responsible for the removal of
large tree cuttings to a permitted disposal
facility.
• If normal scheduled collection day falls
on a holiday, trash collection will be made
the next scheduled pickup day in your area
(i.e. holidays falls on Monday-trash will be
collected the next scheduled Monday pickup).
