Commercial/Industrial: Any commercial or
industrial hauler or entity engaged in
collecting, transporting, or disposing of
solid wastes within the corporate limits of
the City of Miami shall be required to
permit vehicle used for transporting or
hauling solid waste materials upon public
streets, alleys, or highways within the
corporate limits of the City of Miami.
The Franchise Agreement consists of the
following:
1. The annual permit fee to pick both
garbage and trash is $5,000.00 and if only
specialized waste (no garbage) the price is
$1,000.00. Both of the annual permit fees
increase by $500.00 on Oct. 1, of each year,
throughout the term of the Agreement.
2. The annual permit fee is paid once per
year (as noted above). However, there is
also a monthly franchise fee of 22% of gross
receipts that is due to the City of Miami
each month.
3. There is also a $50.00 permit per account
fee due to the City of Miami annually by
Oct. 15, for all active commercial accounts
the Franchisees have including each
roll-off, on Oct. 1, of each year.
4. The term of the Franchise Agreement is
for a period of five years
(10/01/04-9/30/09) with one three year
option to renew through 9/30/12.
