Richard S. Otruba
Assistant City Attorney

University of South Florida, New College (B.A., 1984); St. Thomas University School of Law (J.D., 1988)

The Florida Bar, City, County and Local Government Law Section; Trial Lawyers Section; United States District Court, Southern District of Florida; The Dade County Bar Association

   Mr. Otruba came to the City Attorney’s Office in 1999. He has handled litigation in State and Federal Courts in the areas of negligence, civil rights and commercial law, and is presently assigned to the Workers’ Compensation Section. In private practice prior to joining this office, Mr. Otruba represented a broad range of clients in commercial litigation; corporate and transactional matters and represented plaintiffs in personal injury litigation. He also has extensive experience in commercial and residential real estate transactions and estate planning.
