Mr.
Rossi joined the Office of the City Attorney in April 2005. Mr.
Rossi’s principal areas of practice are labor and employment
law. He is the Chief Labor Negotiator and labor counsel for the
City and is the head of the Labor/Employment Division in the
Office of the City Attorney.
Prior to joining
this office Mr. Rossi was a Deputy County Attorney for Sarasota,
Florida where he was employed from September 1992 to April 2005.
In Sarasota Mr. Rossi was labor counsel and the head of the
litigation group. Prior to joining Sarasota County Mr. Rossi was
associated with Jackson, Lewis, Schnitzler and Krupman, a
national labor-employment law firm, where he litigated
employment discrimination claims. He was the Deputy Law Director
for Middletown, Ohio from January 1984 to April 1989, where he
was Chief Labor Negotiator and labor counsel for the City as
well as responsible for complex litigation matters. Mr. Rossi is
also a former judicial magistrate and prosecuting attorney.
