    The Office of the City Attorney has two attorney positions available immediately that offer outstanding career opportunities in one of the country’s most dynamic cities. Land UseThis is a unique opportunity to lead the Land Use Division and gain recognition as the premier municipal land use attorney in a city experiencing an unprecedented development boom. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years in the field with experience in the following: planning, zoning, growth management, impact fees, major use permits, preparing comprehensive plan amendments; litigation in these areas; supervision of attorneys; and advising public officials. Candidates should be knowledgeable about environmental law.

 

Appellate Attorney This appellate specialist will have extensive experience and success in briefing and arguing appeals in state and federal appellate courts. The ideal candidate will be an expert in handling appeals of trial court decisions and administrative rulings, including labor and employment and civil rights litigation. The appellate specialist will work with trial counsel in briefing legal issues and preserving issues for review.
