Depending on the circumstances of each instance we may at times require additional documentation or may have to refer to another City Department to reach a sound decision. To expedite services, it would be helpful if you are able to provide identifiable business information (customer/invoice number, property address, lien number, folio number, etc) as applicable to your concern.

The Customer Service Section hours of operation are as follows:

Monday through Friday ( excluding holidays) - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

  • General Invoice questions
  • Verify invoice payments
  • Resolve account discrepancies
  • Refund request for Certificate of Use, Business Tax Receipts and Solid Waste
  • Process Business Tax Receipt applications
  • Business Tax Receipt category changes
  • Business Tax Receipt verifications
  • Mailing address changes (For business address change, contact the Planning and Zoning Department - (305)416-1499)
  • Business Tax Receipt and Certificate of Use account closures
  • Release of Special Assessment Liens.
  • Invoice adjustment for Business Tax Receipt
  • Lien Search requests and/or online technical issues
  • Manual bills for solid waste - non-ad valorem (Verified by the Solid Waste Department)
  • State License verification for new business and during annual renewal.
  •  Business that may require additional forms: Nurseries (Daycare), Pawn Shops, Towing, Travel Bureau, Banks, Non-motorized vehicles for hire, etc.
