2011 Election Important Dates

Election Date: November 8, 2011

                                         (contributions cannot be accepted after November 2, 2011)
For reports immediately preceding the general election and the runoff election, the fine is $500 per day for each late day, not to exceed 25% of the total receipts or expenditures, whichever is greater for the period covered by the late report.

For candidates participating in runoff election (if one is necessary):

December 23, 2011: Deadline to close campaign accounts for candidates who are unopposed or do not qualify. They must still close out their campaign account 90 days following qualifying deadline.

Termination Report for Candidates Elected or Eliminated on the General Election

     (90 days after General Election election)

For late termination reports, candidates are fined $50 per day for each late day, not to exceed 25% of the total receipts or expenditures, whichever is greater, for the period covered by the late report.
